چکیده
Abstract Understanding the genetic differentiation among populations of most marine fish requires investigating differences spawning grounds. However, this can be challenging as grounds for some species are not well known, or difficult to collect. An alternative is collect juvenile in nursery habitats closely associated with potential Greenland halibut a deep-dwelling, commercially important at least two identified major offshore North Atlantic and weak across Atlantic. In study, we sampled juveniles from three sites representing Davis Strait area northwest one site northeast primary along western slope Barents Sea. We applied genotype by sequencing discovered 90 markers that could used assess four sites. The showed differentiation, supporting existence clusters. Additionally, found between samples implying more than northwest.

Population structure of West Greenland narwhals
The hypothesis that different populations of narwhals in the West Greenland area exist has been tested by different biomarkers (metal and organochlorine concentrations, stable isotopes and DNA). Samples of muscle, liver, kidney, blubber and skin tissues of narwhals from West Greenland have been analysed for heavy metals, organochlorines, stable isotopes and DNA. The obtained results of metal co...
متن کاملPopulation Genetic Patterns of Threatened European Mudminnow (Umbra krameri Walbaum, 1792) in a Fragmented Landscape: Implications for Conservation Management
The European mudminnow (Umbra krameri) is a Middle Danubian endemic fish species, which is characterised by isolated populations living mainly in artificial habitats in the centre of its range, in the Carpathian Basin. For their long term preservation, reliable information is needed about the structure of stocks and the level of isolation. The recent distribution pattern, and the population gen...
متن کاملGills as morphological biomarkers in extensive and intensive rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum 1792) production technologies
We investigated environmental impacts on rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) reared at fish farms with either extensive technology, in a flow-through system (FTS, n = 3), or intensive technology, in a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS, n = 3). All fish were fed the same rations. Fish were caught in spring and autumn (body mass, 501-750 g) from these six farms. We performed macroscopic (inta...
متن کاملSouthernmost record of the Giant Manta Ray Mobula birostris (Walbaum, 1792) in the Eastern Pacific
Background: Manta rays (Mobulidae), Mobula birostris and Mobula alfredi, are widely distributed in tropical and temperate waters. Still, little is known about their movements and their ecological interactions (e.g. behavior and diet). In Peru, M. birostris has only been reported along the northern shore within the Tropical East Pacific Marine Province. No official reports exist from central or ...
